Advances in Mind-Body Medicine to Resume Publication in June
Journal rejoins InnoVision professional division as a digitally delivered publication
BOULDER, Colo. (June 6, 2007) — InnoVision Health Media Inc., is pleased to announce that it will resume publication of Advances in Mind-Body Medicine, a peer-reviewed medical journal, effective with a Summer 2007 issue. The journal will arrive to subscribers in late June. Advances will once again be published quarterly, now as a digital-only journal that will be delivered directly to subscribers’ email boxes.
The InnoVision subscription department will be contacting existing subscribers shortly to verify their email addresses so that the Company can fulfill existing subscriptions.
Advances, first published in 1985, serves medical practitioners and researchers, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, RNs and other healthcare providers with the latest in peer-reviewed research, perspectives, news, abstracts, interviews and resources.
As part of the resumption of publishing the journal, all Advances paid subscribers will have access to an online, searchable library of past articles in a database available at advancesjournal.com. In addition, the Advances website has undergone an update that has resulted in new features and improved functionality.
Frank Lampe, InnoVision’s VP of Content Development, announced that former Editor Sheldon Lewis has agreed to lead the editorial team producing Advances, which will benefit from the added input of Suzanne Snyder and Lisa Anne Marshall, managing editors of InnoVision’s two other medical journals, Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine and Integrative Medicine: A Clinician’s Journal, respectively.
“We’re thrilled that Advances will resume publication in June and continue a 22-year tradition of groundbreaking research and information about mind-body medicine,” says Lampe. “Additionally, we’re honored that Sheldon Lewis has agreed to once again oversee content for the journal. Under his direction, we’re confident that Advances will ably serve this very important community.”
The Advances staff is currently seeking appropriate submissions for publication in future journals.
